High School Radio is a project undertaken by Cox Media Group, Orlando, and we are enthusiastic about partnering with high schools in Central Florida to showcase the talent, accomplishments, and vibrant personalities that make each school special. We believe our local High Schools have much to offer, and we want to provide a platform for students, athletes, staff, and parents to share their experiences, achievements, and contributions.
Here is a brief overview of what High School Radio entails:
1. High School Radio Show: We invite a select group of 3-4 students from a Central Florida High School, plus a staff/admin member and a parent, to visit the CMG Orlando Studios, to become the featured hosts of their school's High School Radio show. These students will take the lead in discussing various topics related to their High School, such as school activities, sports, events, education, fundraisers, and more. This is an excellent chance for students to develop their communication and presentation skills.
2. Prerecorded Shows: All High School Radio shows will be prerecorded, ensuring that students have the opportunity to fine-tune their content and delivery. These shows will then be scheduled to air at a later date on CMG's reputable radio station, WDBO, reaching a broad audience throughout Central Florida.
Participating in High School Radio will not only promote High Schools within the community but also empower students to build valuable skills, gain confidence, and create lasting memories. We believe that this initiative aligns perfectly with local school commitments to fostering well-rounded and engaged individuals.
We are eager to work closely with our local High Schools to make this an enriching and memorable experience for the school and our community.
