A housekeeper at a Las Vegas resort has been arrested for allegedly stealing nearly $1 million worth of valuables from a hotel room.

Police say 28-year-old Amanda Melendez swiped 14 items worth more than $768,000 - including four luxury watches, diamond chains, and a gold ring from a room at the Vrada Hotel & Spa.

Police say they have a recording of Melendez on the phone with someone in jail, telling them about the watches and asking if she should “take them all”.

She’s charged with grand larceny and burglary.
