SANDFORD, Fla. — Nemours Children’s Health in Central Florida will host a free newborn class on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. to help expecting parents and caregivers maneuver the basics of caring for a newborn.

Experts will share insights on what parents and caregivers can expect when leaving the hospital. Those who attend can expect teaching demonstrations, showing commonly used skills and answering questions from attendees.

Expecting parents and caretakers will gain insights into sleeping patterns and sleep safety.

Additionally, there will be an opportunity to discuss eating habits (including breastfeeding and formula feeding), general care, and when to call a pediatrician or seek other medical help.

The classes will be at the Sandford St. Athanasius American Coptic Orthodox Church. In addition to English, Spanish-speaking physicians will be on-site and available to provide information in Spanish.
