ORLANDO, Fla. — The winter storm continues to bring cold rain, and the winds will continue to push cold air into Central Florida.

The overnight lows into Thursday morning will be in the mid-40s.
Another storm system will impact the area on Thursday, but only scattered showers are expected.
Channel 9 is contacting county leaders around Central Florida to gather more details on shelters opening this week.

Osceola County
Two cold-weather shelters will open on Thursday and Friday evenings, providing refuge for people experiencing homelessness.
First United Methodist Church St. Cloud
- 1000 Ohio Avenue, St. Cloud
- Doors will open at 6 p.m. to offer overnight shelter Thursday and Friday.
Iglesia Del Nazareno Casa De Vida
- 2367 Fortune Road, Kissimmee
- Doors will open at 6 p.m. to offer overnight shelter Thursday and Friday.
Those needing transportation to the shelter location can travel at no cost using LYNX buses by alerting drivers that they will be going to the cold weather shelter.
Pets are housed at Osceola Animal Services during the operation. Guests with pets will need to call Animal Services at 407-742-8000 and press option 4 to request pet transport by an Animal Services Officer to the animal shelter.
Orange County
Homeless Service Network is welcoming residents and people without stable housing to two area warming centers.
Orange County Warming Center Locations:
Goldenrod Recreation Center/Goldenrod Park

- It opens at 5:00 p.m. and closes promptly the following morning at 9:00 a.m.
Barnett Park Recreation Center Gym

Transportation
Regional LYNX buses will provide free rides for individuals seeking transportation to the HSN shelters listed below. Riders must let the LYNX driver know that they need shelter. The LYNX driver will transport those in need to the nearest HSN shelter location.

Matthew’s Hope is opening the Orange County homeless location and will likely remain open 24/7 throughout the week.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.
Showers are required, and limited personal items are allowed.

Seminole County
Rescue Outreach Mission

If the Mission fills its overflow space, the county will provide additional space, bedding, and meals at a local church that partners with the Mission.
Volusia County
The Bridge
The Bridge is operated by the Neighborhood Center at 421 S. Palmetto Ave. in DeLand and will welcome guests starting at 6:30 p.m.
Guests may stay until approximately 8 a.m. the following morning and breakfast will be provided.

Flagler County
Flagler County was one of the first local counties to confirm opening cold weather shelters.
The Sheltering Tree organization will open its shelter at the Rock Transformation Center, 2200 North State Street.
The shelters will be open for three nights on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as another cold snap is expected.
Brevard County
Matthew’s Hope
Matthew’s Hope is opening the Brevard County homeless location and will likely remain open 24/7 throughout the week.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.
Showers are required, and limited personal items are allowed.

LifePointe Ministries
LifePointe Ministries will open this week at 5 p.m.
Dinner and Breakfast will be provided at the community partners’ cold shelter at 4220 South Hopkins Avenue, Titusville.
