Florida man with AK-47 arrested at Virginia preschool

A Florida man is behind bars after he was caught carrying an AK-47 on the grounds of a Virginia preschool, authorities say.

Eric Sandow, 32, was also carrying five AK-47 magazines, a handgun with six extra magazines and “several boxes of ammo” when he was taken into custody Tuesday at Dolley Madison Preschool in McLean, police say.

Sandow told police he was on his way to the CIA’s headquarters in Langley, about two miles from the school, and had stopped there to use the bathroom, his arrest report reveals.

There’s no word on why he planned on visiting the CIA.

Sandow, who’s being held without bond, has been charged with felony possession of a firearm on school property, police say.
